Can you identify this...

..........leafy vegetable!

Do you need any hints?Here you go....,this is a creeper that is said to cure mouth ulcer & found in tropics.I have posted many recipes using this leaf.

Start guessing....

    Albeit even basil leaves are also used for mouth ulcer but it doesnt appear to be one.

    Will i get a prize for it:P

  12. It's malabar spinach, also known as mayalu in Marathi, poi in Gujarati and vali in konkani. Is that correct?

  14. Its called Pasalai Keerai in tamil right?It gives out purple tiny fruits.We had this plant in our garden when I was a kid.

  16. Alli mele yaaro veelyada ele antha baredaddu odi, nagu banthu..... Adu nanna favorite "BASALE SOPPU" also called Malabar Spinach or Indian Spinach..... Amma maaduva basale saaru nanage thumba ishta... Nenapu bandu kannu thumbi banthu..... Hugs))))

  26. We call it kodi pasalai Tamil, literally vine-spinach, those little seeds on those vine will turn from green to deep-purple color upon maturaton , right.
